After a valid connection with the VASERControl Server has been established the Server Active Window is opened on the screen.

Click to enlarge The VASERControl Server Active Window is separated into two main parts:

  • the Tree view on the left side of the window

and

  • the Workarea in the right part of the window

Actions to be performed on the VASERControl Server may be selected from the Menu or the Toolbar of the VASERControl Editor Main Window.

Tree View

The Tree View of the VASERControl Server Active Window enables the user to manipulate issues related to the VASERControl Server.

The Tree View lists all Connections maintained by the VASERControl Server.

It further shows all available Elements under a separate tree entry in one list independent of their connection origin.

A different entry in the Tree View shows all available Modules. A Module may be a logical unit defining the interaction between different Elements, or it may be a graphical interface to be shown on a PDA or SmartPhone.

A separate tree node is available to show Autostart Modules. A Autostart Module may be automatically started upon startup of the VASERControl Server.

Based on the selected tree node different context-sensitive pop-up menus are available.

:!: Please be sure to select the tree node first and then open the pop-up menu pressing the right mouse button. Trying to open the pop-up menu on a different tree node without selecting it first, will NOT open this pop-up menu. The pop-up menu of the currently selected tree node will be opened independent where the mouse pointer is located.

Workarea

Depending on the selected element from the tree view the corresponding information of this selected element is shown in the work area.
