VASERControl Server Active Window - Tree View - Connections

Different connection types are available for VASERControl. Each connection type, such as EIB or SqueezeBox for example, offer different functionality. The VASERControl Editor may be used to build logical modules to combine these different connection types.

Connections

The Tree View of the VASERControl Active Window lists all currently available connections. They are grouped under the tree node Connection.

:!: Please note that there are different pop-up menus available, based on the selected connection type.

Connections Menu

Opening the context menu from the tree node Connections will open a pop-up menu to create new connections or to connect/disconnect all available connections.

New...

The menu option New… may be used to define new connections. After selecting the menu option New… a new window is opened on the screen. It allows you to select any of the available connection types.

Please send an eMail to info@objdyn.com if you would like to see other connection types being supported by VASERControl.

Select the desired connection type from the list and press the Ok button.

The new connection is created an added under the Connections tree node. When you select the newly created connection the Workarea on the right hand side of the window is updated, allowing you to define necessary information about the new connection.

Connect all

The menu option Connect all connects all available connections listed under the tree node Connections. This menu option corresponds to Connect tool bar button.

:!: Please note that any connection may be individually connected. Simply select the desired connection from the Connections tree node, open its pop-up menu an select the menu choice Connect.

Disconnect all

The menu option Disconnect all disconnects all available connections listed under the tree node Connections. This menu option corresponds to Disconnect tool bar button.

EIB (EIBNet/IP)

EIB (European Interface Bus) is promoted by the KNX Association. The KNX technology is the world's first open, royalty-free and platform independent standard for home & building control, approved as a European (EN 50090 - EN 13321-1) and a Wordwide standard (ISO/IEC 14543).

K8055 - USB IO

The K8055 is an USB experiment interface board. It has 5 digital input channels and 8 digital output channels. In addition, there are two analogue inputs and two analogue outputs with 8 bit resolution. The number of inputs/outputs can be further expanded by connecting more (up to a maximum of four) cards to the PC's USB connectors. All communication routines are contained in a Dynamic Link Library (DLL).

Simple WebService Server

Using a Simple WebService Server connection is a fast and easy way to access the attributes and actions of the elements of VASERControl. The application which accesses the server issues a http request. This request is evaluated by the server and data are being prepared or actions are being performed. The result and possible messages are returned to the client as an XML structure.
