The VASERControl Designer is used to define Boolean, mathematical, timing, system (e.g. the Boolean values true and false, string values), and string functions between any components registered for the VASERControl Server. In addition, graphical user interfaces for a web browser (html) or PDA/mobile phone may be defined.
The VASERControl Designer window is separated into two main parts.
On the left side of the window a Tree View shows all components managed by the VASERControl Server. There are for example EIB components and serve@home appliances as well as all the functions that may be applied (e.g. Boolean, mathematical, timing, string). The additional category System provides Boolean, number and string values, HTTP requests and access to system commands. The category GUI (graphical user interface) provides graphical parts to build custom user interfaces, such as form, label, button, text, checkbox, etc.
The right part of the window contains a Designer Workarea which is used to develop logic modules and/or graphical user interfaces. Elements from the tree view are selected and drop onto the working area where they may be connected to each other using mathematical or logical functions or where their values may be linked to parts of a graphical user interface.
Depending on the elements used in the Designer Workarea menu options of the Designer Menu will be enabled or disabled. This also applies to the elements of the Designer Toolbar.
