Some parameters of the K8055 USB IO board are for example dependent on the current jumper setting on the card. Please be sure you have successfully completed the entire installation. All communications routines are contained the dynamic link library K7055D.dll.
Please refer to technical documentation and make sure to take the current card settings into account when defining and using paramters which are available through VASERControl.
For technical information see: Vellemann Componets N.V.
To create a new connection of type K8055 USB IO perform the following steps:
Select the entry Connections from the VASERControl Server Active Window Tree View.
Open its pop-up menu and select the option New.
Select the item K8055 USB IO from the list prompter and press the Ok button.
A new K8055 USB IO is added to the Connections tree node. If necessary, open the branch beneath the Connections tree node by clicking on the + mini-icon and select the newly created K8055 USB IO connection.
The Workarea in the right part of the window is updated acordingly and allows you to define the necessary parameters.
The current jumper configuration defines which channel is available on which physical card. There may be up to four cards in one PC; therefore allowing channels 0, 1, 2, and 3.
The Polling parameter defines in units of milisenconds how often information about the state is requested.
This paramter is read-only. Possible values are Connected and Disconnected.
If you select an existing K8055 USB IO connection entry (not the Connection tree node but one of its subentries) you may open a specific pop-up menu.
Please note that this pop-up menu is only available from an existing K8055 USB IO entry. Other entries from the Connection tree have different pop-up menus.
This menu option is only available (enabled) when the current K8055 USB IO connection has not been yet connected to the VASERControl Server.
To disconnect an K8055 USB IO connection which is currently connected to the VASERControl Server, simply select this menu choice. This menu option is only available (enabled) when the current K8055 USB IO connection is currently connected.
Selecting the Delete menu choice the selected K8055 USB IO connection with all its elements will be deleted. To verify this action a prompter is opened on the screen.
Please note that you may not undo this action; i.e. you will need to re-define all paramters.
All K8055 USB IO Connection Elements are listed below the K8055 USB IO tree node. If necessary, you may open this branch by selecting the + mini-icon in front of the tree note K8055 USB IO .
When an K8055 USB IO Connection Element is selected the information in the Workarea is updated according to the type of the selected Element.
Analog input or output values may range between 0 and 100.
Digital input or output values are represented by a Boolean value. True is indicated with a marked check box and False is represented by an unmarked check box.
Please note that the meaning of a value or the ability to change values is dependent on your used hardware.
